Sightseeing

Zielona Góra is an excellent place for mounement lovers thanks to the preserved pre-war urban architecture.

Town Square and Town Hall

Central point of Zielona Góra is the beautiful town square with its phenomenal nineteenth-century tenement houses. Since the fifteenth century it was the main trade place in the city. The houses around it are mostyl from the nineteenth and twentieth century. The town hall was built in the fifteenth century. Its current classicistic form was given due to the reconstruction made at the end of the eighteenth century. On the northern side of the town hall, under the surface of the pedestrian zone there is a worth seeing settlement layer from the fourteenth century and the relics of old buildings hidden under a spectacular glass.

St. Hedwig's co-cathedral

The oldest building of the city is St. Hedwig's co-cathedral, built in the fourteenth century. There are i.a. neo-gothic altars, late-gothic sculptures of St. Hedwig and Anne or a number of stone epitaph panels.

Łaziebna (Głodowa) Tower

It is what remains after the former system of urban fortifications. It is 35m high. The tower owes it's name to the nearby town baths.

Fragments of the defensive walls

A fragment of the defensive walls which formerly surrounded the city was preserved. Their height was about 6 m and were built between the 14th and 15th century.

Zielona Góra Philharmonic

The main building was created in 1909. In 1960 it was adapted for the needs of the Zielona Góra Symphonic Orchestra, which in 1974 was given its current name.

Lubuski Theatre

It is located in a building created 1931 and designed by the architect from Berlin – Oskar Kaufmann.

The Museum Ziemi Lubuskiej

The museum is located in a building from 1889. The collections include over 17 thousand pieces. They are gathered at exhibitions including i.a The Wine Museum, which is the only one in Poland, The Museum of Old Tortures and also the Museum of the town Zielona Góra.

The Hero's Square

It is the central point of the city designed in the 1960s. There is a water fountain where the the Zielona Góra Philharmonic holds concerts once a year.

Millenium Park

It's a beautiful park established in the 1960s on the ground of a liquidated cemetery. There are two avenues – maple and lime that underline the character of the place.

Wine Park and Palm House

The Palm House was founded in 1961. In the years 2007 – 2008 the place was rebuilt. The visitors have access to 2 terraces with a beautiful view on the city. Currently there is a restaurant in the Palm House situated among tropical plants. There is also a reconstructed vineyard in the surroundings.

Gastronomy

Zielona Góra has undergone a real culinary revolution in the recent years and has become a center of original restaurants, pubs and cafes. In the city center there are many places offering Polish, Italian, Spanish and international cuisine. The restaurants are located in charming tenement houses with a view on the old square. There are modern venues and elegant ones with selected menus, as well as more intimate and cosy places.

Shopping

Focus Mall shopping center has become the best place to go shopping in Zielona Góra. It is situated in the city center between the old town and the Palm House. The wide offer of this shopping center gives the opportunity to get all necessary things starting from clothes, jewelry or home items, ending on groceries in the supermarket. This gallery includes also a cinema complex and a playroom for children.

The visitors can also go shopping to the old market where many boutiques with premium brands and original clothing can be found.

For children 

Botanical Garden and Mini Zoo 

The Botanical Garden and Mini Zoo have already become an iconic place of entertainment for kids in Zielona Góra. In the garden you can admire several hundreds species of plants divided into 5 thematic sections. This place offers the children the Fairy Tale Stall where they can get inside the Cinderella's carriage or 'move in' for a while in a gingerbread house. There is also the Mini Zoo with e.g. fallow dear, goats and exotic birds. 

Rio Parrot Zoo

It is a place where you can see over 100 exotic and friendly parrots. Once you go in, there is no time limit to enjoy all the attractions.

There is a playroom prepared for the youngest: games and coloring books, as well as a safety zone where you can see the parrots behind a glass wall.

CRS Hall Aquapark

The aquapark has got 5200 m2 of surface where you can find such attractions as a water balloon of 15 diameter, a 'wave ball', a wild river, deck chairs, a climbing wall, various water massages, a bridge, an 'onion' slide, a semi-open slide, a double wide slide, a small schooling pool, an 8-track pool of 25 m length. Additionally there is the longest in Poland helter skelter ride of 210 m length, a 90m pipe slide, four hydro massage spots (including two with brine) and a paddling pool for little children with a small slide. There is a room for mother with child nearby.

The swimming area is connected to the spa zone. From the swimming pool you can directly go upstairs to the relaxation zone with deck chairs, this place is also joined to the restaurant, which is also accessible from other parts of the building. Moreover, the complex includes a gym / fitness club, squash court, a playroom and a sports shop.

Playrooms and the Trampoline Park 'Skoko-Loko'

In almost every part of Zielona Góra you can find a playroom for children with many attractions for younger and older kids. It is a form of active fun for whole families. There you can play dodgeball, go through an obstacle course, a ninja track; make slam dunks or jump to a sponge pool.

Movies

Cinema City complex offers 9 screens located in Focus Mall shopping center.

Krasnal Park

About 25 km from Zielona Góra there is a Krasnal Park offering various playgrounds for children, as well as a mini zoo, leprechauns - the most beautiful collection of unique figures. Kids can enjoy going to a 8D cinema, ride in electric cars, dinghy boats and play machines.

Clubbing

There are 2 popular clubs in Zielona Góra: Heaven and X-demon Club. Moreover, amateurs of nightlife can visit another club - One Love. In the old town there are many other pubs and clubs including original places inspired by the PRL times (communistic period) where you can eat traditional Polish cuisine dishes, such as steak tartare, herring or dumplings.
